CONNECTING LIVERPOOL AND MANCHESTER TO GREATER OPPORTUNITIES: GM & LCR APPG JOINT SESSION

It is great news that Northern Powerhouse Rail and LIV-MAN Rail is on its way to the North, but 2030 seems a long way off for those passengers and businesses who struggle to navigate unreliable, unaffordable, delayed and disconnected transport services on a daily basis.

We want Greater Manchester and Liverpool City Region’s MPs and Peers to come together and have the opportunity to talk with the Minister, key business voices, transport leaders, delivery partners and stakeholders from across the North West who are charged with unlocking the connectivity gap. The session will be the first opportunity to talk about what the Government’s commitment to invest in Northern Powerhouse Rail means for greater productivity, prosperity and growth.

The session is not just about NPR - it will also focus on what we can do NOW to better connect all modes of transport and improve connectivity across the North West economy - with a view to delivering faster, greener, reliable, accessible and affordable passenger and freight journeys sooner rather than later.
