La Rentrée deux

La Rentrée returns for its second year. Borrowed from the French, la rentrée names the moment after summer holiday when schools, cultural institutions, and artists shake off the heat and reawaken for a new season. This curatorial collaboration between SITE/less and DFBRL8R gathers performers into a single evening that celebrates reconnection, creative grit, and the collective charge that happens when we come together.

This edition leans into the idea of beginning again. Expect work in many states of becoming: something raw and just forming, a piece returning for a second encounter, an improvisation that arrives new each time it happens. Openness is the point. Experimentation is the method.

For students, artists, and audiences alike, La Rentrée is a call to return: to grit, to DIY resourcefulness, to the strength forged through community. Art for art's sake is not frivolous. It is not retreat. It is defiance. Come take up space, disrupt, and reclaim the power of making and sharing art together.

A curatorial collaboration between SITE/less and DFBRL8R, this event features performance actions and a multi-channel video installation celebrating a new year of aesthetic discovery.
