The clock is ticking, the engine is revved, and the curtain is about to rise. 

Welcome back to PlayLab Express, where bold, raw ideas collide with real-time performance. We are throwing out the safety net and pushing our artists into the ultimate creative relay race. It is also a space to experiment, take risks, discover new artistic voices, and build stronger creative connections within the DFW Play community. 

In less than a week’s time, a fearless group of local directors and actors will be paired up, handed brand-new scripts, and challenged to create theater from scratch. No overthinking, no endless polishing - just pure, spontaneous storytelling chemistry.

This year, the stakes are higher and the pace is faster. We are bringing you 8 to 10 brand-new, original short pieces written in English, Hindi, and Hinglish. It’s an evening packed with fresh voices, familiar faces from DFW Play, and the thrill of watch-it-happen-live creativity.
