Education Health and Care (EHC) plan reviews

This session is aimed at any parent or carer in Devon whose child already has an EHC plan.

EHC plans need to be reviewed regularly – usually once every 12 months. This is to make sure that your child’s needs are clear and the support they have at nursery, school or college is right and is helping them steadily achieve their goals.

In this session you’ll find out about

• myths and misunderstandings about EHC plan reviews
• the process of an EHC review and what each part means
• review meetings and what happens at them
• your role in the review and how to make sure your views and your child’s are heard
• what happens after an EHC plan is reviewed

The session lasts for an hour, with the opportunity for questions and discussion for 30 minutes afterwards. It’s jointly hosted by, Amy Jones one of the DiAS Leads and Sarah Smith, DiAS Information and Training Officer.
