Many of the parents we support sometimes get a bit lost when it comes to EHC plans, what should be in them and what they are used for. This training session gives lots of tips and practical information to help you get to grips with the plan and what it means for you and your child. This first part helps parent carers understand their child’s EHC plan, what’s in it and how it is used.

The session includes

  • The law, principles and foundations of an EHC plan
  • What should be in the plan and what each section is for and about
  • Being specific in the EHC plan
  • The plan in use

Tickets are free. The main presentation is an hour and then there is 30 minutes for general questions afterwards. The session is delivered by one of our DIAS Officers and Sarah Smith, Information and Training Officer.
