EHC plans need to be reviewed regularly – usually once every 12 months. This is to make sure that your child’s needs are clear and the support they have at nursery, school or college is right and is helping them steadily achieve their goals.

This training helps parent carers understand the review process and meeting, the purpose of the review and what happens after it. The focus is on answering the questions parents often ask about EHC plan reviews and helping you feel more confident about your role in the review process.

In this session you’ll find out about

  • The principles and important things to know about reviews
  • The process of an EHC review and what each part means
  • Review meetings and what happens at them
  • Your role in the review and how to make sure your views and your child’s are heard
  • What happens after an EHC plan is reviewed

The training session is for any parent or carer in Devon whose child already has an EHC plan.

Tickets are free. Each session has an hour for the main part of the presentation and 30 minutes for questions afterwards. The session is delivered by one of our DIAS Officers and Sarah Smith, Information and Training Officer.
