Making Sense of EHC plans: Understanding your child’s EHC plan

Many of the parents we support sometimes get a bit lost when it comes to EHC plans, what should be in them and what they are used for. If your child already has an EHC plan, or is about to be issued with one, then this session is for you!

The workshop gives lots of tips and practical information to help you get to grips with the EHC plan and what it means for you and your child.  It's informal and friendly and based on the questions parent carers ask. The session aims to help you understand your child’s EHC plan, what’s in it and how it is used, including:

• The important things you need to know about an EHC plan.
• What should be in the plan and what each section is for and about.
• Being specific in the EHC plan.
• The plan in use.

Tickets are free. The session is a general look at EHC plans and, although there is a bit of time for questions, we aren't able to talk about specific situations.
