Overall Trends and Background by Dr Hans-Jakob Schindler
Dr Schindler, a senior director at the Counter Extremism Project, and an active member of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime will share trends and findings on how crypto assets are used to finance terrorist activities.
Supporting Numbers and Challenges by Thomas de Zoete
De Zoete is a NatSec Programs Lead at Chainalysis where he works with governments all across the globe to strengthen their programs regarding cryptocurrency. He assists those responsible for national security to combat cryptocurrency-financed threats and close intelligence gaps with training, advanced data analytics, research and investigative services.
Investigation - Practical Case by Thomas Ball
CEO, and founder of BerFin Advisory and ex.N26, will present a practical case on the operations of right-wing extremism financing in one of the EU countries, drawing on his extensive experience in the Anti-Financial Crime (AFC) industry.
The Regulator- Overview of the current situation by the FIU
TF expert from the Estonian FIU will present the identified trends, share good practices, and give guidelines to the market participants.
The CASP - Dejan Davidovic, Kriptomat
The co-founder and Chief Operating and Integrity Officer at Kriptomat will serve as the moderator for the event, presenting the perspective of CASPs, who play a vital role in preventing illicit transactions and contributing to CTF.
