Smokestack City (An Evening of Blues, Soul and Rock & Roll) at The Phyllis Maud

Following on from the success of our regular events Coalfire Country and Folk At The Maud, we've heard your requests and are very excited to present to you our brand new night of blues, soul and rock & roll, Smokestack City.

Nestled in the industrial heartland of Newport, The Phyllis Maud stands out as something that would be more at home in New Orleans than Detroit or Chicago, but blues music has always been a prominent staple of the Newport and South Wales music scene. So on the 4th April we are putting on a blues feast spanning the length and breadth of the US, from the Mississippi Delta to the Great North Lakes featuring local, national and US touring artists including Aled Clifford (Henry's Funeral Shoe), Kit Bennett, Joe Kelly, slide blues rockers Moonface The Mage and Cardiff's Queen of Blues, Bella Collins.

Licensed bar serving both alcoholic & soft drinks and snacks.
