OPHELIA'S BEARD live at THE PHYLLIS MAUD

Returning to The Phyllis Maud this June we have Cardiff indie-folk powerhouse Ophelia's Beard.

Ophelia’s Beard is a genre fluid songwriter that combines her UK Folk roots with an injection of modern angst and passion. By grounding her songs with the stereotypes of the genre, and sparking a modern twist within, Ophelia creates familiarity in songs you’ve never heard before.

Described as ‘a complete redefinition of the meaning of powerhouse vocals’ she fronts her band with a captivating ease, leading her to playing festivals like Between the Trees and supporting artists like Chloe Foy, Joe Kelly and the Royal Pharmacy and Jack Browning.

This is female fronted folk with a bite.
