Disability Equality Scotland: 2026 AGM and Annual Gathering

We are delighted to invite you to the DES 2026 Annual General Meeting and Gathering on Tuesday 20 October 2026 from 10.30am to 3.30pm.

What will happen at the event?

There will be:

• the 2026 Annual General Meeting (AGM)
  
• a keynote by Simita Kumar MSP, the Scottish Government Minister for Equalities and International Development
• updates about the work Disability Equality Scotland plans for the coming year
• an invited guest panel and interactive activities you can get involved with

How to join the event

You can participate in the 2026 DES AGM and Annual Gathering either in person or online. If you come in person, we will give you refreshments and lunch.

Please register as soon as possible for this event. Registration closes at 12.30pm on Friday 2 October 2026.

In-person places are limited. The online event will be on Zoom. We will send a joining link to people who register for online tickets.

Communication support

We have booked communication support (BSL and electronic note taking) for both in-person and online. But if nobody tells us they need communication support before Friday 2 October, at 12.30pm we will cancel the communication support booking. This helps us save money.

If you need communication support, you must register for the event before 12.30pm on Friday 2 October. If you register after this date, we might not be able to re-book the communication support.
