Disability Journalism Forum 2026

The Disability Journalism Conference is an event organised by the Disability Journalism Forum, the leading community for disabled journalists in the UK.

The event will showcase disabled journalists and talent working in the media industry, with panels and workshops designed to encourage editors to become more inclusive of disabled talent, as well as supporting entry level journalists to find key opportunities and build their networks.

Supported by News UK and Vodafone, it highlights the vital contributions of disabled journalists in shaping narratives and driving diversity within the media industry.

Our theme for this year’s conference is ‘Creating Connections’.

We want to show how connections run throughout journalism, connecting people together with networking and mentoring, connecting journalists with roles outside of London or in different areas of the media, and highlighting the role of how journalism is connecting further with technology, and how we can use this to our advantage.
