Drag: A Deep Dive on Slayage

Come take a deep dive into the Haus of St. James as they guide us through a spectacular drag performance and a deep dive talk back dissecting their drag and what inspires them to continue to create, transform and become. This event is facilitated by the Overall Mother of the Haus of St. James, Amber St. James, known for her revolutionary activist work in and out of drag and her entertaining high energy performances. She is also the first ever San Diego Mx. Gay and Mx. International Pride, both of which are the first gender neutral titles in the International Imperial Court System and the Imperial Court of San Diego. Amber is also known for her amazing work building and sustaining the drag community at San Diego State University along with many other colleges around Southern California.

The performers will kick off the event with dynamic drag performances. Then, they will provide a deep dive insight behind what inspires them in the art of drag. So pull back on the curtain with us and learn how the Haus of St. James builds intentionality into performances!
