Saturday's festival activities include movement workshops, discussions and performances! Get moving, get talking, get clapping with us!

City Heights Annex: 3795 Fairmount Ave, San Diego, CA 92105

BalletCenter Studios: 246 W Washington St, San Diego, CA 92103

10:00am -11:00am: Workshop with Xochii De La Noche (BalletCenter Studio) In this beginner silk fan workshop, we will cover the basics of silk fans, foundations of movement with the silk fans, flow arts/silk fans as a form of active mediation, and how to find your unique 'flow'. No prior experience needed. All abilities/ages are welcome. Silk fans will be provided. **This workshop has a maximum capacity of 15 participants.**

11:30am -1:00pm: Workshop with Bernard Brown (BalletCenter Studio) Fast-paced and educational, this class will challenge participants to engage body, mind and spirit, learn movement phrases, push beyond technique and to explore their own individual performance choices throughout. Focusing on breath, alignment and articulation, this contemporary movement experience will incorporate many influences including post-modern aesthetics, Dunham and Horton techniques. Some experience necessary. **This workshop has a maximum capacity of 20 participants. You can also register for a live, virtual option.**

6:00pm -7:00pm: Performance #1 (City Heights Annex) This show features Southern California dance makers exploring their expression of queerness through movement in an intimate setting. Presented artists include: Xochii De La Noche, Avery Polster, Anna Brown Massey, Victor De La Fuente, Jasmyn Hamblin, and Jay Carlon. **This show includes partial nudity. Minors in attendance must be accompanied by an adult.**

7:00pm -8:00pm: Panel Discussion (City Heights Annex) This conversation will focus on the artist using the body as a canvas to relate meaning, emotion, and queer identity via conceptual dance. How does the performance artist use the body to convey intimacy, emotion, negotiation, and queer identity? How is movement used in dance to give depth to expression? How does dance become an opportunity to reclaim personal narratives? Facilitated by José Héctor Cadena.

8:00pm - 9:00pm: Performance #2 (City Heights Annex) Same program as 6pm! **This show includes partial nudity. Minors in attendance must be accompanied by an adult.**
