We celebrate the beauty of LGBTQ+ families, youth, educators, and intergenerational connection. Come to The Chrysalis to enjoy performances, dance classes, art workshops, food, and community that uplifts and advocates for queer family in all its forms!

About the Chrysalis: The Chrysalis: Monarch School Center for the Arts is a 6,000 square foot space that houses Monarch’s first theatre stage, professional dance studio, a music room, and a maker’s space and gallery for visual art. The Chrysalis is a Creative Youth Development hub – a vibrant and versatile space where our youth and community members of all ages can explore the visual and performing arts in a multiplicity of ways. We are excited to partner with individual artists and community arts organizations to co-create events and spaces that celebrate humanity, artistry, and community building.

About Monarch School Arts: The mission of the Monarch School Arts Department is to create arts-based spaces that allow youth, families, and community members to access, amplify, and elevate their voice, self-expression, identity, and agency. We utilize a Creative Youth Development approach ensuring that our students experience spaces that cultivate their voice, leadership potential, and authentic identity. We believe that the arts offer a sense of belonging and home.
