DISCO RIOT is excited to facilitate an R & D event
Toward Flight
Jennifer Oliver, Nhu Nguyen, and Heather Glabe will be showing a collective work in progress. Their project aims to cultivate joy, delight, and community in the process of performance. They are loosely inspired by Susan Rethorts "Wrecking Project" and plan to use popular tik toks to source material for their performance. They wonder: How can we move tik toks from static to flight?
In performance, they plan to clearly facilitate audience participation and build relationships between the audience and performers in hopes that they arrive at the unexpected in performance.
There will also be a chance to discuss after the presentation of the work in progress. We hope you come out and join in the research!
