Understanding menopause, together.
Sunday 18 October 2026
12pm–3pm
Pendle Padel Club
£50 per couple
Limited to 20 couples
Menopause doesn’t happen in isolation.
It can affect mood, sleep, energy, confidence, relationships, communication and intimacy, yet partners can often feel unsure about what is happening or how best to help.
Man-O-Pause is a relaxed afternoon created for couples.
Rather than a traditional seminar, the event brings together padel, connection and a handful of short, honest conversations designed to help both partners understand menopause better.
Julie and her husband Darren will share their perspective, alongside menopause specialist Carrie and her partner Anthony.
You’ll also hear briefly from Dave, founder of Six Connections, a male mental health organisation created following the loss of his best friend Ian to suicide. Six Connections has since helped thousands of people start more positive mental health conversations with family, friends and colleagues, with a strong focus on conversations before crisis.
The afternoon is about making some of the harder conversations feel easier.
What to expect
There’ll be plenty of time to play padel, meet other couples and enjoy the afternoon, alongside short and informal conversations around:
- menopause and what partners may not always see or understand
- relationships and communication
- supporting each other through change
- wellbeing and lifestyle
- men’s mental health
- opening up conversations before things reach crisis point
No lengthy presentations. No awkward lectures.
Just useful conversations, real perspectives and a chance to do something enjoyable together.
Padel for all abilities
You don’t need to have played padel before.
The afternoon is designed to be relaxed, social and inclusive, with friendly play suitable for different levels of experience.
Supporting two important causes
We’ll also be holding a charity raffle during the afternoon, with all proceeds donated to:
The Menopause Charity
and
Mind
So as well as enjoying the event, you’ll be helping support better menopause education and mental health awareness.
