Description
As part of Discover South Kensington’s programme of exclusive events for colleagues, Discover South Kensington and the Natural History Museum would like to invite you to join us for a morning view of their new exhibition Birds: Brilliant and Bizarre and Wildlife Photographer of the Year. Drop-in between 8.30 am and 10 am via the Cromwell Road entrance. Tea and coffee will be available.
This is your chance to experience two breathtaking exhibitions at the Natural History Museum and stroll through Hinze Hall before it opens to the public. You can also take advantage of a 20% discount in the museum shop which will be open.
The Birds: Brilliant and Bizarre exhibition explores an unparalleled history of birds, from surviving the mass extinction that wiped out all the other dinosaurs to their remarkable evolution into more than 11,000 species. From pigeons to penguins, ostriches to ospreys, birds live on every single continent on Earth, explore the secrets of their success.
See the world through a new lens at Wildlife Photographer of the Year, and explore the planet's habitats, from sprawling urban metropolises to the deep polar seas, and meet the creatures that rely on these places. Come face to face with species at risk of extinction as well as those we’ve brought back from the brink. See first-hand how human activities, both good and bad, are shaping the natural world we rely on.
This event is part of a programme of social events hosted by the cultural and educational venues in South Kensington. The events are free but numbers are limited so space will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. You will need to bring your staff pass or work ID with you.
If you cannot join us on this occasion but would like to hear about future exclusive events for colleagues, please email Tilly Glancy at tilly@exhibitionroad.com or sign up for our fortnightly newsletter here.
