A LUMINOUS DIWALI WITH DISHOOM

As the Festival of Lights draws closer, people across South Asia – and the world – come together in celebration, regardless of wealth or status, of race, background or beliefs. Diwali brings with it new joy, new beginnings and hope.

This year, we’re so pleased to invite you to join us at The Steel Yard on Wednesday 8th November, as we come together for a first-class evening curated by our friend and all-round creative soul Almass Badat.

Expect a truly captivating line-up of South Asian talent – hosted by Harpz Kaur and including live music from 2Flutes; DJ sets by Haseeb Iqbal and Ritu B2B San J Sanj; and dance performances by Amritha Jayakrishnan, BollySass & Friends and Eternal Taal. Come, dance the night away with us whilst enjoying hot Chai, chilled tipples, mehendi and an abundance of delicious vegetarian (and vegan) fare.

About Almass Badat:—

Almass Badat is a curator, creative consultant and broadcaster whose artistic disciplines span music and the visual arts. She is a co-director of Dialled In, the artist-led South Asian arts & culture festival and 1/3 of the What is this Behaviour? podcast, which platforms South Asian people going against the grain. Food & Drink:—

Your ticket includes a plentiful vegetarian (or vegan) meal including much-loved Bombay street food, choice Dishoom favourites and wholesome dessert. Complimentary Chai and mithai will also be available.

There will be a fully-stocked bar, with a variety of drinks available to purchase.

Kindly note:— The meal will be available between 7–9.30pm, with dessert following shortly after.

Photo ID for all attendees will need to be checked upon entry, so don’t forget to carry yours.

Kindly note:— the venue may refuse your entry if you do not have a Photo ID.

Accessibility:—

The ground floor of The Steel Yard is step-free with a fully accessible bar and toilet. Unfortunately, we do not have a designated seating or viewing area in the main arch, where all the performances will be hosted.
