This 40-hour mediation course is designed to acquaint participants with the philosophy, concepts, process model and specific behavioral skills needed for working as a beginning mediator. Master a collaborative, interest-based mediation model that will assist parties in conflict to find mutually agreeable solutions. This is the foundation course for all DRC volunteer mediators, and transformational for all individuals and professionals working with conflict.

The 40-Hour Training takes place on Thursdays 5-9pm, and Fridays and Saturdays from 9:00am-5:30pm.

Cost: Early Bird (through January 10th @ 5pm) $745; Regular $795. Registration ends on Feb 14th @ 5pm.

This training will be held in person at the DRC at the DRC offices located at 9321 Bay Shore Drive in Silverdale, WA.

The DRC reserves the right to change the format of this training to Zoom at any time for health or safety reasons. We require that all instructors, staff, and attendees follow common sense precautions with respect to infectious disease: stay home if you are symptomatic or have known exposure to flu, RSV, or COVID within 5 days of any day of the training. The DRC will issue full refunds for any health related inability to attend the training. The DRC does have built in HVAC air filtration and we encourage all attendees to wear masks as they feel is appropriate.

ATTENDEES NEED TO ATTEND THE ENTIRE TRAINING IN ORDER TO RECEIVE A CERTICATE. Exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis prior to the start of the training.
