A lively, thoughtful and nourishing day of dancing and writing, led by Katrina and Kyra - experienced, generous and adventurous artists exploring language and movement through their own individual practices.  This workshop is suitable for experienced poets and/ or dancers, and - just as much - for those with little experience in either form, but a sense of curiosity around what can happen when writing and dancing meet, and a willingness to experiment.

Together we will explore how bringing these forms into playful, thoughtful dialogue can open up new ideas and possibilities, on many levels.  Bring comfy clothes you can move in, and a notebook and pen.  We will be moving between the body and the page, and taking time to notice and find words for the sensations, images and stories that arise when we are in motion.

Poet Katrina Naomi and dancer Kyra Norman have been collaborating for the last few years. In 2023, they led a weekend course for Dartington Arts, and in 2024 they led a week-long course for the Arvon foundation at Totleigh Barton.  This is their first co-taught workshop on home ground, in West Cornwall, and they're really excited about it.  Any questions?
