UP FROM UNDERNEATH: WORKSHOP with Kyra Norman | DEEP TIME MOVING

UP FROM UNDERNEATH

Kyra Norman | DEEP TIME MOVING is in Residence at The Hypatia Trust for Hypatia's Rest Regeneration and Research Residency Series, November 2026

Kyra Norman is an artist, dancer, choreographer and DJ based in West Cornwall. Her residency at Hypatia, UP FROM UNDERNEATH, focuses on her ongoing body of work DEEP TIME MOVING, a long-term, multidisciplinary art work exploring dance and geology as complementary ways of knowing, and experiencing, time, place and change

 🪨🤍✨

In this workshop at Hypatia, Kyra will share some ideas, activities and materials developed through DEEP TIME MOVING research and practice so far, and you will be invited to engage, explore and respond through moving, writing, making and discussion.  A unique opportunity to be in creative dialogue with the themes of this work - time, place and change - in the particular context of the Hypatia Trust.

Places are limited to ensure a spacious experience, and to allow me to incorporate one-to-one input, where relevant, within the small group context.  Advance booking required.

DEEP TIME MOVING is a creative, original, growing body of multidisciplinary work rooted in Cornwall, inviting us consider and share contrasting ways of seeing time and place, and how we experience change, from the personal to the planetary.  Come along, get involved : )
