Need help?
Ready to take your EMDR practice to the next level? This immersive workshop is designed to equip EMDR clinicians with the skills and confidence to integrate a Neurodiversity-Affirming approach into therapy with Autistic and ADHD clients.
Led by Anna Clarke, an openly Autistic/ADHD psychologist and advocate, this workshop is informed by lived experience, the latest research, and best-practice guidelines.
Why This Matters
Autistic and ADHD individuals are at higher risk of experiencing adverse life events, yet they face significant barriers to accessing appropriate support. One major challenge? Many therapists report feeling underprepared to work effectively with Neurodivergent clients. If this sounds like you, we're here to help!
The AIP model provides a powerful framework for understanding and addressing trauma in Autistic and ADHD individuals. However, traditional therapeutic approaches, often fail to account for the unique ways Neurodivergent people process, communicate, and experience the world.
By integrating a Neurodiversity-Affirming lens into EMDR therapy, you can support your Neurodivergent clients to not only process past trauma but also heal from the profound ‘social trauma’ of navigating environments that aren't built for them. This workshop provides practical, evidence-based strategies to adapt your approach.
