In honour of National Inclusion Week 2026 - “Build Trust. Navigate Change.”, we are delighted to be joined by Poggy Murray Whitham.
Poggy will deliver a webinar titled: Psychological Safety in High-risk and Safety Critical Environments
Webinar overview
You would find it difficult to enter a construction site without the correct precautions, perform surgery without the right PPE, or even run a Scout group without encountering risk assessments. In high-risk and safety critical environments, physical safety is paramount. So, why is it that psychological safety does not carry the same parity of esteem?
This talk will explore the often misunderstood topic of psychological safety - what it is and what it is not, the benefits of it on the workforce, what action can be taken to promote psychological safety, and, crucially, why it so important in safety critical environments such as engineering.
Poggy will demonstrate that this is not a "nice-to-have", but is intrinsically connected to employee's mental health and wellbeing, and a crucial part of keeping workplaces safe, efficient, and productive.
