DMU alumnus James Hempsall OBE is the author of Find Joy in the Middle, a reflective and uplifting book that blends analysis, storytelling, and practical guidance. Drawing on professional insight and personal experience, James explores how transitional and often overlooked moments in life can hold unexpected value. He encourages readers to slow down, rethink assumptions, and discover meaning in spaces where they may feel unseen or uncertain.

Join us on Tuesday 14 April, 6–7pm (BST), online for an engaging session on Find Joy in the Middle. James will explore how the “middle” - whether middle age, middle management, or simply feeling between life phases - can be reframed as a place of possibility rather than limitation. Attendees will:
