Architecture and The Face of Coal - Talk by Gary A. Boyd

In this talk, Gary A. Boyd, Professor of Architecture at Queen's University Belfast, will present his personal perspective of the architecture which the coal industry has produced in Scotland and beyond over the past centuries. Based on his acclaimed book "Architecture and the Face of Coal", Gary will talk about both his research in architectural history as well as his personal reflections on how the architectural traces of the coal-mining industry permeate his childhood memories in and around Falkirk.
