A Lunch time event with Dollzuki Maine Coon Cats at The Bushel and Strike, Ashwell

We are delighted to be holding our next event, a lunch time with Dollzuki Maine Coons Cats, held in collaboration with the wonderful Bushel and Strike, nestled in the picturesque village of Ashwell in North Hertfordshire, this unique event brings together our community and our magnificent maine coons cats for a truly special experience

Known for our carefully selected range of locally brewed beers and ales, fine wines, and a menu that evolves with the seasons, The Bushel has always been a place to gather, relax, and enjoy good company in a historic setting.

Maine Coons, they are often referred to as the "gentle giants" of the cat world, the maine coon is famous for its size, intelligence and affectionate personality. This is your chance to experience them up close and personal.

What to Expect:

A warm, relaxed and friendly atmosphere, which will include:

• Meet and interact with our stunning maine coon cats, enjoy plenty of strokes and if you are lucky, they might even give you a "paw shake" or a 'high five'! 

• A full ONE AND A HALF HOUR cat experience

• Children must be ages 7yrs and be accompanied by an adult at all times

Food and drink available to order on arrival

• A few house (cat rules) upon arrival

• Ticket price includes a donation to local cat charities 

Entry

£12 per adult (plus £1 pre-booking fee) in advance, or £14 on the door

£8 for children over 7 years of age (plus £1 pre- booking fee), or £10 on the door

Please Note: The number of guests permitted is strictly limited, so pre-booking is recommended

Booking & Transfer Policy

As a small business, event spaces are limited and each event is planned well in advance. Our booking policy helps us cover staffing and animal welfare costs while remaining flexible for our guests. Thank you for your understanding and support.

If you are unable to attend an event, you may transfer your booking to another available date, subject to availability, provided you notify us at least 48 hours before the scheduled event.

Unfortunately, transfer requests received within 48 hours of the event, including on the day of the event, are not eligible for transfer. In these circumstances, the booking will be forfeited.

By booking an event with us, you acknowledge and agree to these terms.

🐾 Health, Safety & Cat Welfare

The health, safety, and wellbeing of our visitors, cats, and kittens is extremely important to us. We have careful procedures in place to ensure everyone enjoys their Dollzuki experience safely.

🧼 Hand Hygiene
Guests, please make sure to wash your hands before and after interacting with our cats and kittens. This helps reduce the risk of transferring bacteria or infections and protects both our visitors and our animals.

🐱 Allergies
If you suffer from a severe allergy to cats, we kindly ask that you consider this before booking. Anyone attending with known allergies should bring any required medication, such as antihistamines or prescribed allergy medication, and ensure they are able to safely take part in the experience.

🤰 Pregnancy & Toxoplasmosis
If you are pregnant, please be aware of the potential risk of toxoplasmosis, an infection caused by a parasite. Although transmission from healthy, well-cared-for cats is considered low risk, pregnant guests should seek advice from their healthcare professional if they have any concerns before attending.

Our cats and kittens receive regular veterinary care and preventative healthcare, and we follow strict hygiene practices, including safe litter management
