Thanksong at St. Mary's by-the-Sea

Thanksong is a musical reflection on the ephemerality of life culminating with Canadian composer Cassandra Miller’s piece for string quartet and soprano by the same name. From affirmations of love, to contemplations of living in climate change, to the meditative practice of intently listening–and singing along to–a sacred piece of music about divine healing, this program presents a broad range of musical responses to life’s most personal, yet essential, questions: how do we choose to live?
