We’re delighted to welcome Downs and Bertie’s families to this year’s School Fete, a brilliant event of family fun, food, drink and a lovely opportunity to bring our school community together at the start of the academic year.

The fete takes place very early in the September term, so this year the DSA is taking a slightly different approach, with year groups helping to support some of the stalls and activities. We are hugely grateful for everyone’s help in making the day happen.

Children’s wristbands & Raffle tickets are available now

Children’s wristbands are priced at £12 per child and give access to the main children’s activities for the duration of the fete.

Wristbands can be collected on arrival at the fete.

Wristband activities include

We’ve got a fantastic line-up of attractions planned for children of different ages, including:

• Inflatables
• Laser Tag
• Dinky Drivers
• Face Painting
• Hair Feathers and Face Gems
• Hook-a-Duck
• Ball in a Bucket
• Splat the Rat
• Zig Zag Game

Plus plenty of other family favourites, including:

• Sweet / Candy Floss Stall
• Tombola / Lucky Dip
• Cake Stall
• The Stocks
• Bar
• Raffle
• Food and ice cream suppliers

Food and drink

There will be food and drinks available throughout the fete, so please do come along, bring a picnic blanket and enjoy the morning with friends and family.

We are planning to have:

• Cake and sweet treats
• Bar
• Coffee / drinks options where available

Raffle

Our raffle will be back with some brilliant prizes. Further details will follow.

Children’s wristbands: £12 per child
Tickets go on sale: Friday 3 July 2026
Booking closes: Thursday 3 September 2026

Please book wristbands in advance so that we have a clear idea of numbers ahead of the day.

Important information

The age ranges for some wristband activities may be dictated by suppliers due to height, age or safety restrictions. The number of children participating in activities will be carefully monitored at the event and activities will be supervised by suppliers, school staff or volunteers where appropriate. Children remain the responsibility of their adult / guardian throughout the event.

Wristbands are non-refundable. In the event of cancellation due to adverse weather, the event may be rescheduled and purchases will be transferable to the new date. If the fete is cancelled and not rearranged, refunds will be issued.

A polite reminder that no dogs are allowed on the school fields.
