Jeff Gere is a master storyteller and puppeteer with a BA in Painting & Art History and an MA in Performance Art. His career began in Italy, where he created and toured Dream Theatre, a mix of puppet, mask, and mime. Since moving to Hawaii in 1982, Gere has taught and performed in numerous venues across the state. As the retired Drama Specialist for the City & County of Honolulu's Parks Department, he produced and hosted the Talk Story Festival for 26 years. Gere has performed internationally, including the National Storytelling Festival and various events in Australia, China, India, and more. His storytelling prowess has earned him accolades, such as the 2007 Oracle Award from the National Storytelling Network. Additionally, Gere has made 10 CDs, released multiple DVDs, and authored the "Tell Well" Storytelling System. He continues to be creatively active, teaching, performing, and exhibiting his work globally.
