Measuring Downtown Momentum

What does the data actually tell us about Downtown Lafayette’s growth and momentum? DL’s City Center Session will take a deeper look at the trends shaping the Downtown-Urban Core through real-world analytics and insights from Placer.ai, tax collections, and more local data sources.

CEO Kevin Blanchard and Executive Director Jessica Hauerwas will dive into insights such as foot traffic patterns and how they have evolved over the years, the correlation between increased residential development and rising sales tax revenue, and how Downtown has transformed from a primarily nightlife-driven destination into a more balanced, all-day environment with growing daytime activity.

Attendees will gain an understanding of how data is helping DDA and DLU guide decisions, measure impact, and shape the next chapter of growth in the city center.
