An Armed Forces Engagement Conference

Bringing the City of London together on London Poppy Day to support the Armed Forces Community
Come together with key members of the Armed Forces Charity sector to mark London Poppy Day and hear more about the unique obligations of, and sacrifices made by, the Armed Forces. Key speakers will highlight the following topics:
- Minister for Veterans and People, discussing the Government’s strategy for the Armed Forces Community;
- VALOUR discussion on the role that statutory service providers have in delivering in line with the Government’s strategy;
- Lt Gen Sir Nick Pope KCB CBE, Chair of Cobseo - the Confederation of Service Charities and the Service charity chief executives will discuss the role that the Armed Forces Charity sector plays in providing support across the Armed Forces Community; and
- Consider how the City of London can help to realise a thriving Armed Forces Community that is valued and supported by society.
It will conclude with a short concert by the Irish Guards Band in Throgmorton Avenue
