YOUR ARTISTIC RECOVERY STARTS HERE. You can only use one tool: charcoal!

Experience a special drawing event that brings together the vibrant communities of Draw Around Vancouver and Together Heads Studio. This event is designed to show that creativity exists within everyone. Under the expert guidance of visual artist Golriz Rezvani, participants will recreate curated prints inspired by Henry Moore using only a stick of charcoal and their fingers for blending.

Expect a guided 2-hour drawing class in a relaxing atmosphere set with music. All necessary materials, including charcoal, paper, and drawing boards, will be provided. This event is open to the public, with tickets priced at $50 with an optional framing service available, allowing you to pick up your framed artwork the next day.

ABOUT YOUR FACILITATOR:
Visual artist Golriz Rezvani has been working as an artist for over twenty years and has been participating in group, and solo exhibitions and contests. She is interested in creating a surreal world that narrates day-to-day life. In most of her pieces, human beings play the main role in telling a story. Mixed media is what she uses most to create her pieces.

Golriz was born in Iran and holds her master’s in fine arts. She currently works and lives in Vancouver, BC where she teaches at Emily Carr University, Vancouver Film School and Shadbolt Art Centre. Instagram Website
