LEARN - Guest Instructor Series

The first step to being good at something is learning the basics.

If you’ve always wanted to start drawing but get frustrated or discouraged not knowing where to begin, LEARN is the perfect starting point! This workshop is designed to introduce absolute beginners to the foundational techniques that every artist builds upon.

Join us as our instructor leads a hands-on class where you’ll learn what to look for and how to get comfortable with the basics of drawing. The session kicks off with a 30-minute mingle to help you get familiar with the space and connect with fellow beginners—because learning in a relaxed, friendly environment makes a world of difference after which there will be multiple drawing stations dedicated to certain aspects of basic drawing like composition and shading.

Materials and still life displays will be provided, so all you need to bring is your curiosity! Get ready to unlock your potential and start your drawing journey.

WHAT TO BRING?

• Water Bottle/ Snacks
• Bring your preferred drawing materials, such as sketchbooks, pencils, erasers, charcoal, or ink pens. Although we do provide guests with all of these, we have a limited amount, so it's a good idea to pack a range of supplies, allowing you to experiment with different techniques and styles. We always provide paper and drawing boards.

CANCELLATION POLICY

We only accept cancellations 48 hours before the event date. This means that if you purchase your ticket two days before the event, it will not be refundable. For refunds please reach out to us directly via email at drawaroundvancouver@gmail.com to cancel.

Wheelchair access is possible by going through the back entrance. Simply arrive at the front and someone from our team will guide you there.
