The evolving relationship between the masculine and the feminine is central to all of our lives. But over the last decade, the culture wars have made it hard for men and women to come together for meaningful conversations. Against the backdrop of #MeToo, men's rights movements and Trans activism, even figuring out how to approach these issues has been a challenge. More recently, the British High Court created a phase-shift by ruling that trans women are not legally identical to biological women, while the hit show Adolescence has opened a new conversation about masculinity.

The time has come for men and women to gather together to have a new kind of conversation about essential issues.

In this one day retreat, you will learn how to navigate these issues through embodied practices and deep dialogue. You'll learn how to embrace complexity and difficulty and use it as fuel for reconnection and growth. Using inquiry, shadow work and breathwork, you'll dive into a process that touches the deepest aspects of our shared experience.

YOUR FACILITATORS

Alexander Beiner

I'm a writer and facilitator with a focus on creating transformational experiences. I’m the author of ‘The Bigger Picture; How psychedelics can help us make sense of the world’ and the founder of Kainos, a media platform and studio that crafts stories of hope and imagination in response to a time of upheaval.

I am trained as a counsellor, mindfulness instructor and breathwork facilitator, and have been facilitating group retreats for fifteen years. I've written and made films about cultural issues relating to the masculine and feminine, and was one of the founders of Rebel Wisdom where I co-created a pioneering men’s retreat covered by The Guardian, GQ and the BBC.

Dr Clive Selwyn

From working as a hospital anaesthetist in Central London, to becoming an Arts Council-funded Artistic Director for the World's first history of medicine cabaret (The Curiosity Cabaret), I am passionate about helping people to find deeper ways to experience themselves. 

I'm a trained counsellor and facilitator, as well as a medical doctor, and have been facilitating group work since 2016. I am a NED and founder member of Men's Circle, and I facilitate in-person shadow workshops for men and women.
