This is our three-day boot camp plus one-day Flight Mastery Training. We will be introducing and flying a variety of data acquisition types followed by discussion and instruction on how to process the acquired data. From Pix4d Mapper to Pix4d React, to Drone Deploy and Optelos. Students will go through a total of 7 exercises to master the workflow for various deliverables. The goal is to map and build models of this training's location.

We'll get started first thing Monday morning with Flight Mastery. The NTSB's required drone pilot flight training class. Then, on Tuesday, an introduction to the plan for the 3 days of mapping and the first phase of the classroom lecture portion of the class. Tuesday will also include a short round table opportunity designed to allow the instructors and participants to get to know each other. These classes are always more fun, and more beneficial when we know a bit about one another and can learn from each other. The instructor(s) will be available to answer questions and ensure we are all properly set up and equipped for the weekend. Tuesday is packed full of information so be sure you're well-rested and ready to go.

On Wednesday we will spend the entire day in the field where we will map the property. The goal is to introduce a variety of data acquisition techniques and utilize the ones best suited for this property type. Throughout the day as we fly the instructor(s) will be working with students individually to help them refine and improve their acquisition techniques.

On Thursday we will be in the classroom covering how to use processing software to produce our maps and models. We will be going into great detail about all of the various processing settings to help produce the best maps and models possible. We'll spend much of this day covering the various output files produced from Pix4D, Drone Deploy, and how these files relate to a deliverable product for our clients. Time will also be spent on the business side as we will be discussing the pricing of our services and products as well as thoughts on customer acquisition.  We will also cover the various deliverables and when to use each.

Drones:

- Students are expected to bring their own drone. If you don't have your own drone, we recommend renting one from someone like lensrentals.com.

- We recommend the following drones for this class: The Phantom 4 series, Inspire 2, Mavic 3, Mavic 3 Enterprise, Parrot Anafi Ai, and Mavic 2 Enterprise DA. Other drones can be used for the course, but please check with us prior to attending with a drone other than these recommendations.

FLIGHT MASTERY:
If you're looking to enhance your flight skills (and who among us doesn't need to enhance our flight skills), we are hosting an additional day of flight training through our Flight Mastery Course, on Monday, July 24th. Our Flight Mastery course is a training based on our obstacle course built from 12 exercises to build confidence in students' ability to fly and make educated decisions in flight. The primary goal of the class is to teach students the strategies and techniques we've learned over the past several years that will enable students to fly with confidence and in a way that mitigates risk while pushing themselves to be the best pilot possible.

This course will focus on individual flight movements that aid in the development of a firm foundation of flight knowledge and experience. Participants will work with experienced pilots who will guide them through the process of improving their flight skills and understanding of UAV operations.

At the end of the Flight Mastery class, students will have the opportunity to fly our obstacle course and be tested on their abilities. This is a great opportunity to test yourself in a safe environment with expert feedback.
