INWARD - Summer Yoga Day Retreat

Thu 23 Jul 2026 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM The Quadrangle, TN14 7RP

After having such a lovely time hosting other retreats this year, Elodie is bringing her signature gentle, flowy, wild-rooted, possibly even a bit witchy approach to a Summer's day together. This time we're heading to the midst of the glorious Kent countryside, with the absolutely lush addition of a woodland walk and the opportunity to take a wild river dip.

We'll be working with the theme of INWARD - this event is on the 23rd July, well into the summer season and a wonderful time to look inward with warmth. We'll celebrate ourselves, find joy and nourishment for all our inner layers, right through to the core.

This event is explicitly and intentionally inclusive of people from all backgrounds - Elodie is a queer, neurodivergent yoga teacher and it's really blooming important to her to be as welcoming as possible. There is a question in the booking form about access/inclusion needs - please let me know about any of these and I will chat with you about how we can make sure the day works for you. If you need a support worker or similar with you please get in touch about booking a free space for them.

The one exception to the everyone welcome rule for this day is that this is an adults only space, in order to keep it safe for everyone.

The day will include:

  • Welcome with tea, snacks and a gift!
  • An opening circle & guided mindfulness exercise to land in the space together
  • A more flowing yoga class - but very much accessible, I'll support you to modify if needed. ALL BODIES ARE YOGA BODIES ♥
  • A woodland & countryside walk in the nearby Kent Downs
  • Lunch provided - dietary requirements catered for
  • Guided journalling (with an option for tarot inspiration!) and intention setting
  • Free time for e.g. group games, wild swim/dip or to use individually for your own self care
  • A restorative yoga class
  • Closing circle

All levels of yoga & mindfulness experience absolutely welcome - it's not about "achieving" anything physical, it's about taking time for yourself to move and actively listen to your body.

I'd recommend bringing the following along with you:

  • Comfy layers for wrapping up in the evening, after swims and for the woodland walk
  • A towel and swimwear if you're swimming
  • Flipflops or sliders to walk between the river and barn
  • A water bottle
  • A tupperware pot to take away any leftover food so we don't have any waste!
  • A notebook and pen for journalling

This venue is accessible by public transport and is walkable from Shoreham or Otford train stations. Travel isn't included so do have a think about how you will get there - email Elodie on info@dropofyoga.co.uk if you want to express an interest in offering or requesting carpooling and we will see what is possible with the group. Please note though, we can't make any guarantees as it depends where everyone travels from. I've tried to plan the timings so that off-peak travel might be more possible as we want to make this as cost accessible as possible.

Please also note this is a single day retreat, and no accommodation is provided. I'm hoping it will meet a need for retreat experiences that don't include an overnight stay, as I know there are plenty of people who don't have the option of a night away from home.

I am so excited to spend the day together in such a beautiful place with a really lovely bunch of humans. Reach out if you have any questions whatsoever. Can't wait to see you all there x

We are committed to pricing transparency and trying to price our retreats fairly while also paying ourselves sustainably for the time we put into preparing and delivering them. With that in mind, the breakdown of cost per ticket, based on 10 participants is:

  • £40 - venue hire for the day
  • £30 - lunch, tea and snacks (per person)
  • £4 - booking fee
  • £46 - Elodie's travel costs and pay for her time marketing, preparing and delivering the sessions
  • £10 - towards subsidised places for those who need them

We can offer a limited number of places on this retreat for a subsidised cost of £90 for those that need them - please just contact us on info@dropofyoga.co.uk to request access to these. If £90 doesn't feel manageable right now but you feel like this retreat would do you good, please get in contact and we can make a plan that works for you - I'd always rather you join us than feel excluded based on cost.
