Move beyond chatbots and discover how AI agents can become true digital coworkers. In this hands-on session, attendees will build and configure an analytics agent in Drupal that can answer questions, call external tools through MCP, retrieve live analytics data, and automatically generate accessible charts. Participants will learn the difference between retrieval-based chatbots and action-oriented agents, explore prompt and tool design, and see how structured chart specifications can power safe, reproducible, Section 508-compliant visualizations. The session concludes with a look at production-ready architectures, including FedRAMP-eligible AI hosting and patterns for connecting agents to enterprise data sources such as analytics platforms, APIs, and digital experience systems.
