On this walk will visit some of the best preserved prehistoric archaeological features on the Quantock Hills, exploring some of their rich folklore and mythology, and what they reveal about pre-Christian beliefs in this area. How did the mysterious Dead Woman’s Ditch come to be so named? What does Lady’s Fountain reveal about sacred pagan sites and the coming of Christianity? And why do the folk tales associated with Dowsborough Hillfort suggest a link to Norse mythology?

This gentle walk will take you through the beautiful Quantock countryside. You will learn about the Pagan history and mythology of the hills. You will be taken to Lady's Fountain where we will perform a Gin Blessing. You will have the chance to enjoy some Dryad Gin and see Lady's Fountain a spring it is situated nearby to the deciduous forests Robin Upright's Hill and Lady's Wood.

This walk is for over 18s only. We would rather you didnt bring your dog as not everyone loves dogs and we want to make this walk as inclusive as possible. The terrain is stoney and steep.
