Insect Richness & Biodiversity Monitoring at Metacarbon Farm

Join us in June for Insect Diversity Monitoring Field Days, where we’ll assess above- and below-ground insect populations across our research landscapes.

Through a combination of aerial netting and soil-level trapping, we gather comprehensive data on insect richness and abundance. These collections take place during optimal morning hours and provide critical insight into ecological balance, habitat quality, and the effects of management practices on biodiversity. 

This work is a cornerstone of our commitment to tracking ecosystem health through multiple indicators.
