We have arranged a guided tour of Horniman Museum Gardens led by the Head of Horticulture, Errol Fernandez. He came to the Horniman in 2021, bringing a wealth of experience in ecological and sustainable horticulture, prior to which he was Senior Gardener at English Heritage's Kenwood House estate.
Errol will provide a general tour of the gardens, focusing on sustainable practice, supporting biodiversity and creating a beautiful and immersive public garden experience. The gardens should be looking wonderful in June for our visit, which will last about an hour.
Please meet at the main entrance to the museum. Tickets for the visit are £8, with the proceeds going to the Horniman’s 125th year Anniversary Appeal.
Public transport: Buses - 175, 185, 197, 356 and P4 all stop in London Road outside the Museum. 122, 363 and P13 stop nearby. Trains - Forest Hill station is 5-10 minutes walk away.
