Scottish Apprenticeship Week: Apprenticeship Insights - Parents Session

As part of Scottish Apprenticeship Week, Dumfries & Galloway College and DYW Dumfries & Galloway are hosting an online information session for parents and guardians.

This session is designed to support parents and guardians who are helping young people make decisions about their future. It will provide a clear overview of the different apprenticeship routes available in Scotland, including Foundation Apprenticeships, Modern Apprenticeships and Graduate Apprenticeships.

The session will explain how each apprenticeship works, the key differences between the pathways, entry requirements and progression opportunities, as well as how apprenticeships can offer a valuable alternative to full time study. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions and access information to help you support informed conversations at home.

This online event is ideal for parents and guardians who want to better understand apprenticeships and the opportunities they can offer young people.
