The Dyslexia Association of Ireland is delighted to confirm that it will be running a Dyslexia Course for Education Support Professionals in February 2024.

This course is designed for those working in a support capacity with children and young people with dyslexia, including Special Needs Assistants (SNAs), Afterschool Childcare Providers, and other interested education professionals. This course will provide an introduction to dyslexia with a focus on practical strategies to support learners at both primary and secondary levels.

The course is delivered online and live via Zoom. The presentations and supporting documents will be provided to all participants prior to the course to enhance their learning experience.

A course certificate of attendance will be sent to attendees after the event. Places on this course are limited so early application is advised.

Time: 6:00 pm-8:30 pm

Course Fee: A special Early Bird rate of €30 is available for bookings made by 12 noon on 26th January 2024. After that, the price reverts to the normal fee of €45 per attendee.

Learning Outcomes:

1. Develop an understanding of what dyslexia is.

2. Understand best practice in developing support for individual students including a range of practical strategies.

3. Consider the impact of dyslexia on mental health and well-being.
