Description
Dyslexia Ireland is delighted to confirm that we will be running our Dyslexia Course for FE and HE Educators in March 2025. This course has been designed as a response to discussions and interactions with educators and individuals with dyslexia. This course will provide an overview of what dyslexia is and how it impacts students and their learning. There will be a focus on practical strategies to support learners with dyslexia in education.
The course will be delivered live and online via Zoom. The presentations and supporting documents will be provided to all participants before the course to enhance their learning experience.
This course will be of particular benefit to teaching and learning professionals, disability support staff, senior leadership and anyone working on improving accessibility and inclusion initiatives.
A course certificate of attendance will be sent to attendees after the event. Places on this course are limited so early application is advised.
Learning Outcomes:
- Develop an understanding of what dyslexia is.
- Understand best practice for inclusion.
- Understand practical support strategies for individual students.
- Consider the impact of dyslexia on mental health and well-being.
Time and Date: Wednesday 5th March 2025 from 10.00am – 2.00pm.
Course Fee: A special Early Bird rate of €40 is available for bookings made by 12 noon on Friday 7th February 2025. After that, the price reverts to the normal fee of €70 per attendee.
