Description: Decodable books give our children a safe space to practice reading using the phonics they are learning and gain confidence in their skills. But what are decodable books and how do they work? 

Presenter: Elise Lovejoy is the founder/CEO of Express Readers and The Teachers Table, and the author of the Express Readers decodable book series. She holds a BA and an MA in elementary education with 15+ years of experience in the classroom, grades K-2nd grade. Currently, she works with teachers across the US and globally through professional development and resource implementation to promote and apply practices based on the immense body of research on how students learn to read. Elise is also mom to two learning readers and a pro-bono interventionist. The Express Readers decodable series is available in Ireland from ABC School Supplies.
