Description
The Dyslexia Association of Ireland is delighted to confirm that we are offering our Dyslexia Training Course for the Workplace – delivered online and live via Zoom in spring 2022. The course has been designed as a response to discussions and interactions with organisations, agencies and individuals with dyslexia. The course's objective is to upskill staff, to enable them to create an inclusive work environment accessible to all. This environment increases participation, retention, self-esteem and confidence and ensures the success of employees.
This course will be of particular benefit to line managers, HR personnel and anyone working on improving workplace accessibility and inclusion initiatives.
Places on this course are limited so early application is advised.
Dates and Times:
- Session 1 – What is Dyslexia 28th February 2022 from 2pm-4pm
- Session 2 – Dyslexia Friendly Environment 7th March 2022 from 2pm-4pm
- Session 3 – Assistive Technology 14th March 2022 from 2pm-4pm
- Session 4 – Application of theory to practice 21st March 2022 from 2pm-4pm
Learning Outcomes
- Developing an understanding of what dyslexia is
- Exploring the identification of Dyslexia
- Principles of best practice for an inclusive work environment
- Principles of best practice in developing support for individual employees
- Considering the impact of dyslexia on mental health and well-being
- Exploring how Assistive Technology can support.
