Dyslexia and the classroom

Dyslexia Scotland is pleased to present 'Dyslexia and the Classroom', a 1.5-hour workshop designed for both experienced educators looking to refresh their knowledge and new teachers beginning their careers.

In this workshop, we will show you how to make small but effective adjustments to your practice that will enhance your support of students with dyslexia and ultimately benefit all learners. Using simulations, case studies and  current research you will gain an understanding of the social, academic and environmental challenges that some students with dyslexia face daily. We will also explore the impact of cognitive load and working memory in a busy classroom.

This free event will take place on Zoom.  It will not be recorded.

A Zoom link will be emailed to you on the morning of the event - please check junk mail if you don't receive it.

Please note that once the event is fully booked we cannot offer more places.  We will hold more events in the future though do not have dates yet.
