Thursday 15th
April, 12 Noon
Online, Teams
Hosted by Samantha Buttle, Head of Teaching and Learning at Dyslexia Sparks
Writing can be a daunting challenge for dyslexic learners, and it’s common for children to become anxious, frustrated and reluctant to pick up a pencil.
This practical webinar will explore fun, low-pressure ways to break those barriers and encourage children to practise and build confidence.
We’ll look at how to make writing fun, topical and relevant to children, with practical activities and ideas that can be used at home.
You’ll take away simple strategies to:
- Reduce anxiety around writing through fun, no-pressure activities
- Build confidence and encourage children to have a go
- Make writing enjoyable and relevant to children’s interests
- Encourage regular writing practice without it feeling like a chore
- Support dyslexic learners with practical activities for home and school
There will be a live Q&A at the end of the presentation, where you can ask any further questions.
