Speed Networking Event

Join us for a fast-paced employer engagement event designed to give young people direct access to a range of professionals from different industries and sectors.

Pupils will take part in a series of short, structured conversations with employers, helping them build confidence, improve their understanding of the world of work, and explore career options they may not have previously considered.

Event Format

• 15-20 employers from a range of sectors
• S4-S6 pupils
• 5-minute employer interactions
• Pupils rotate around employer tables in small groups
• Opportunity to ask questions and learn about careers, skills and pathways

Key Learning Outcomes 

Young people will:

• Increase their knowledge of different careers and industries
• Learn about qualifications, apprenticeships and career pathways
• Develop confidence speaking with employers
• Gain insight into workplace skills and expectations
• Explore future education, training and employment opportunities

Coordinator Information 

Please ensure:

• Pupils are briefed prior to attendance
• Groupings and staffing arrangements are confirmed in advance
• Pupils are encouraged to prepare questions
• Attendance numbers are submitted by the agreed deadline
• Feedback surveys are completed following the event

This is an excellent opportunity for young people to hear first-hand from employers, discover new possibilities and make informed decisions about their future pathways.
