About Ealing Dean Allotment Society

Ealing Dean Allotment Society (EDAS) was formed in 2014 to enable self-management of the Northfields Allotments site by the allotment holders on behalf of Pathways, the local charity that owns the allotment site.

The Society structure

Following an initial meeting in Summer 2013, a steering committee of interested plot holders laid the groundwork for an initial AGM in January 2014 when EDAS was formed, a constitution agreed, and a committee of members elected.

Since mid 2014 EDAS has a management agreement with Pathways to manage the allotments on their behalf whilst also representing members' interests back to Pathways.

The EDAS committee meet regularly to discuss matters relating to EDAS and managing the allotment.

Halloween Pumpkin Trail

Our annual Halloween event was initially established to raise awareness of Pathways' plans to develop on part of our allotment site. It was also used as a way to reach out to the local community and allow everyone to enjoy our wonderful grounds as a true community hub.

Now in its seventh year, the even has attracted thousands of visitors, and continues to delight children and adults alike!
